Best Paint @ Pro Custom Show 06

Best Paint @ Pro Custom Show 06

Adi was the very lucky winner of this bike last year at the Pro Custom Show in Doncaster after entering a phone-in contest! We met at the presentation last year and talked about the many ideas which to start with, were pretty intensive as far as paint jobs go!

Adi just wasn't sure what he wanted to see on the bike so after originally going from naked top models (oh how we wasted so many hours looking through suitable material! ;)) through to dragons, pinstriping and old skool flames . . we eventually arrived at the True Fire style of paintwork which Ade said he had admired for a while. So, it was time to get the parts into primer so after another visit to the workshop, Adi left the pieces in our hands and it was time for some serious priming and prepping!

Simon Parker from Parker Fabrication made the amazing rear and front Ali fenders and of course, one of his signature tanks sat on the frame. Simon has been making first class pieces like this now for many years and as far as I'm concerned, there is no-one to touch his craftmanship. We primed up all the parts and then base coated them all in black, ready to receive some True Fire-style flames to set this baby alight!

Using the Mike Lavallee, True Fire shields (available here in our on-line airbrush supply store: True Fire Shields) and a little Organic flair, I rendered the whole bike in flames and was particularly pleased with the way this came out. Photos never do the paint justice as this is painted in many, many layers of different Kandy Kolors and pearl finishes which have to be seen to be believed. The colours simply radiate and glow and when that Passion Purple on the black catches the sunlight man, it looks simply awesome and really on fire! All paints used on this are House of Kolor.

Here we are now back in the booth and just about to apply the final Tangerine Kandy and some more Apple Red. At this stage there is probably 9 or 10 layers of colours built to get this sort of depth. Then it's time for a super-shiny, glossy clear-coat and then buff/polish to a show-stopping finish.

We were very flattered recently to have been referred to in the USA as the UK guys who can replicate what Mike Lavallee from Killer Paint has developed over the past few years as his signature-style, the True Fire flame job. We are very flattered to have been given this great compliment from the Killer Fire-man himself and it is an honour to receive such a compliment from such an acomplished master craftsman, custom painter and artist such as Mike. If you have not see Mike's work before then check him out at www.killerpaint.com to see exactly what I mean.

If you are interested in getting your wheels set on fire then please contact me on 07881 906318 (moblie) or email on beej@organicimage.com

Look forward to working on your ride soon. Thanks for checking us out . . ~ Beej
