HOK Pearl orange, 2 clr flip VRod Screamin Eagle custom paint job. Worked on the first coat of flames and smoke. I have to match/work the colours to fit with the beautiful, hand-crafted leather seat which has been an inspiration for this colour scheme.
Paint is Etac, House of Kolor bases and KK's and today we laid a layer of clear to lock it down befoe flatting tomorrow and painting on the screamin eagles and then more flame details plus the Harley Logo.

I used the HOK Trye Fire paint colours for this with Chrome Yellow and Molly Orange and for the brown, Etac Sepia Smoke.

Tuesday 11th March: Today's work and got stuck into the eagle on one side of the VRod and then spent what seemed hours wrestling with Dave's PC trying to get the darn plotter to work for the logo's. Grrrr! Technology eh!

Ultra Mask is available here in our store and is made by Artool. I use it all the time in my work, it is fantastic and can be cut with a scalpel or on the plotter for logo's. You can get it in 2 size rolls or, in cheaper sheet format.

| | Thurs March 13th Eagles finished and more flame work completed on other parts. Cut my stencil on the Craft Robo avalable to buy here on our website if you're interested in getting a very cool desktop plotter for graphics like this. It's an amazing little tool and cuts the Ultra Mask better than some expensive plotters I've had in the past!!) The detail it plots is outstanding for such a cheap machine and you have a pen attatchment too so you can plot out a test drawing first (like mine above with the small eagle and text) allowing for positioning and measuring tweaks b4 final cut on masking material.

To get the Harley Davidson to appear straight along the curved tank, you have to make the stencil first curved the opposite way - which is cool! I went for 3-4 options before settling on the first one, each with a few mm more curve. Artwork was done in Adobe Illustrator and then exported as 400dpi hi-res JPEG's in RGB format. You can then import these directly into RoboCutter software and complete an 'Auto Trace' to get perfect artwork to cut.
