Hellraiser gallery PPG & House of Kolor paint

Sketches were supplied to the client before painting commenced. Used loose masks and taped masks for spraying plus some handheld, homemade masks for details. PPG paint for white basecoat is used on all artwork first with a superfine, Iwata airbrush which has a 0.2mm needle/nozzle!

Most of my airbrushing is done freehand because I feel too restricted with lots of masks and hard lines, I prefer to get the general idea sketched on and adapt it from there. With Hellraiser though I already had a good idea of the images, I just needed to give it a little Organic style!

All finished off with rich, bloody HOK Kandy Apple Red and that ethereal blue is layered transparent blues, violets and Kandy's over the white.
